INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AT FRIENDS AFRICA

Friends Africa (Friends of the Global Fund Africa)
has opportunities for qualified interns to
become involved in its work.
Friends Africa is a Pan-African, Non-Governmental
organization, which works to mobilize strategic
political and financial support for the fight
against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria through
education, multisectoral advocacy and documentation.
Friends Africa’s work supports the fight against the
three pandemics with emphasis on the Global Fund a
key funding mechanism in the fight.
At Friends Africa volunteers/interns have a chance
to be directly involved in the fight against the
three pandemics by working on projects and
activities focused on Africa the hardest hit
continent.
Candidates should possess the following:

A qualification from a higher institute of
learning - BA, BSc, or equivalent
-
Completing or currently pursuing graduate
education - e.g. MSc, MPH, MD, PhD, JD, MPA,
MBA, DPH, DMD, MALD
-
A desire to work in a fast paced, evolving and
dynamic environment
-
The ability to work as part of a team
-
Interest in international development and
foreign travel
Areas of work and internship designations include
the following:
Project Management Intern
Specific Duties:

Workplan and budget development
-
Contribute to work plan execution for Friends
Africa projects
-
Carry out Delegate management at Friends Africa
events and meetings
-
Prepare progress reports for specific Friends
Africa project being worked on

Prepare project materials for specific Friends
Africa project being worked on
Project Development Intern
Specific Duties:
-
Assist with the conceptualization of new Friends
Africa projects
-
Provide Grant Writing support to Friends Africa
-
Conduct literature reviews for Friends Africa
projects
Monitoring & Evaluation Intern
Specific Duties:
-
Review specific Friends Africa activities
-
Write a reports based on above review for
Friends Africa’s utilization

Friends Africa will be responsible for a Roundtrip
economy air fare to Nigeria and back to base for
selected interns in addition to providing a stipend
and a conducive and comfortable working environment
at all times.
