Friends Africa has a technical assistance hub with 300 consultants, which are mobilized to different African countries to provide support for proposal development, program implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and various assessments.
Some of our activities in this section include:
- •Gender Work RH/HIV Integration 2008-2009: Friends Africa provided Technical Assistance to 10 countries Nigeria, Burundi, Zambia, Ghana, Namibia, Cameroon, Madagascar, Mozambique, Kenya and Tanzania in the Mobilizing for RH/HIV Integration initiative. This project involved Friends Africa and five other International organizations to form the Initiative with an aim to integrate SRH and HIV services in proposals that were submitted to the Global Fund for Round 8 and Round 9.
- •70% Coalition WHO/GTZ Assessment: involved a group of organizations that came together to increase the number of approved HIV/AIDS proposals submitted to the Global Fund from 40% to 70%. The Friends Africa activity was carried out to assess the process through Technical Assistance to analyze the success of the project in the countries involved in proposal development.
- •PATH II: Provided TA for in and out of school youth assessment for the PATH II- DFID project in Nigeria.
